Wilson Ejeben bags Ondo NUJ Humanitarian Service Award.
Chief Wilson Ejeben, on Friday in Akure, received one of the most decorated media awards at the 2022 edition of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ondo State Council Press Week.
The Bobaselu of Ugbo Kingdom and President of Wilson Ejeben’s foundation, (a non governmental organization) was recognized and honoured considering his numerous achievements in community developments and service to humanity.
Presenting the award, Comrade Adetona Aderoboye said, the award was designed to celebrate persons and organisations who have not only excelled in their fields of endeavour but have contributed to the infrastructural and human development while urging other successful men and women in the society to emulate Chief Ejeben’s philanthropic gestures.
Highlights of the event include, award presentations, cultural display, merriment among others.
In his response, Chief Wilson Ejeben, represented by one of his media assistants, Femi Bada, assured that with the award, his organisation is poised and remain committed towards stable growth of infrastructure and service to humanity in all Niger Delta states, Nigeria and beyond. He disclosed that the organisation is ready to partner and facilitate development in Ondo NUJ.
Some of Chief Ejeben’s projects executed via his Foundation include, construction of 2 master piece roundabout in Igbokoda local government council area of Ondo state, renovation of Udu Bridge, provision of free medical care, provision of water and renovation of toilet to Aladja primary school, building of convenience to Living Faith Church Aladja, supply of wheel chairs to the physically challenged persons in Aladja, Port Harcourt and Ondo state, provision of over 30 pairs of Safety Boots to Aladja Vigilante Group, sinking of three boreholes in Aladja community , financial support and donation of food items to the Old People’s Home located at Harbour Road Port Harcourt Town Rivers State., Donation of water borehole to Gods Care Orphanage Home at Otor-Udu in Udu LGA of Delta State, provision of complete Computer set to the Ovie of Udu Kingdom and the Urhobo Interest Initiative Group.
He also renovated the oldest mosque in Port Harcourt, Rivers state in the year 2015, renovation of the popular Udu bridge. Currently fixing hand rails and other ongoing numerous projects.
The event was graced by journalists within and outside the state, well wishers and family members, civil society organizations, distinguished personalities and political leaders, among others.
The Humanitarian Service award by Ondo NUJ is one of the numerous award of excellence that has been bestowed on Chief Wilson Ejeben for his selfless services.
